It's a Girl!

I can't believe it!!  I really thought it was a boy, so I got a big surprise yesterday in the dr. office.  The ultrasound tech said that she is measuring right where she should at 18 weeks and 4 days.  She is also weighing in at 8 ounces or half a pound!

Knowing she is a girl is such a relief because we had not found one boy name that we both liked!  We are much better at girl names.  We do have a first name in mind and when we have reached a decision on a middle name, we will let you know!  The doctor said that everything looked great!  He said that there isn't one thing that would make him worry!  He said I am doing a great job and to keep it up!  So, all that macaroni & cheese and hot dogs has been okay!

Josh got to hear her heartbeat for the first time yesterday!  Seeing her on the big screen and knowing we are having a daughter has made it so real to us!  Josh has always thought that his first child would be a girl, so I have to admit...he was right!  (This time around)  Below are the pictures that we have of our baby girl!

This is her face!  She is staring at you!  Josh thinks it is a little creepy.

Her feet

This one is difficult to see.  The arrow is pointing out her girl parts.  Her butt is in the middle of the picture.  Her feet are on the left.  She is doing a squat, like she is squatting on the camera.

This is her heart and we listened to her heartbeat.  It was beating at a rate of 142 beats per minute.

This is another difficult one to see!  I had to ask the dr.  She is being shy here.  Right in the middle, barely peeking out, is her profile.  You can see 3 little ridges, from left to right are her lips, nose, and forehead.

  1. Having a daughter is so much fun! I have one of each and love them both. You have and get more options with a girl than you do with a boy!Congrats!

  2. If you have not heard Amazon Mom Club has a great deal on diapers. I buy my diapers and wipes from them and it saves us a ton of money!
